Privacy Policy for World Quizzer

Last updated: 2026-10-29

World Quizzer (“the app”) is a geography quiz game. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Data stored on your device

The app saves the following locally on your device, using Apple’s standard UserDefaults storage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to send feedback or report a question (see below):

• Your quiz score history and best results, and any names you type for the leaderboards
• A list of countries you’ve previously answered incorrectly (“Review Mistakes”)
• Your selected quiz category preferences and app settings (appearance, sounds, reminder time)
• Any custom quizzes you’ve built
• Your Daily Quiz progress: the days you’ve played and your scores, your streak, where you are on the journey, your passport and achievement stamps, and the questions you missed today (so you can review them)

None of this data is linked to your identity, shared with the developer, or used for tracking. It can be cleared at any time by deleting the app.

Daily Quiz reminders

If you allow notifications, the app schedules daily reminders on your device itself (local notifications). Nothing is sent to a server to do this, and you can turn reminders off in the app’s Settings or in your iPhone’s Settings at any time.

Sharing your score

When you tap “Share” after a Daily Quiz, the app opens the standard iOS share sheet with a short message: the date, a row of coloured squares showing which answers were right, and your streak. Nothing is sent unless you choose where to share it.

Feedback form and question reports

If you choose to submit feedback through the in-app feedback form, the text you type is sent to a Google Sheet (via a Google Apps Script endpoint) so the developer can read it. Please don’t include personal information in your message unless you intend to share it with the developer.

If you report a problem with a question, the report also includes the details needed to look into it: the quiz and question, the answers shown and the one you picked, the app’s facts for that country, the app version, your iOS version and device type (for example “iPhone”), and the time it was sent. It never includes your name, email, device identifiers or location.

If you tap “Register interest” on an upcoming Pro feature, the app sends only that feature’s name, which adds one anonymous vote to a tally. Nothing you type and nothing about you or your device is included.

No tracking, no third-party analytics, no ads

The app does not use any advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not share data with third parties for advertising purposes.
